Everyone who works at Russian enterprises is well aware of the word “emergency” - when you need to be in time, but hardly possible. And there are also the words "budget" and "limit", often used together. In general, it’s clear what I’m driving towards - a car prepared for a car dealership is very different from what the designers intended. Nevertheless, I’ll try to talk about the latter.
The machine is built on the elongated chassis of the Patriot, but differs significantly from it in width and height. For example, the interior width is 189 mm wider! The designers refused the transfer case lever - the electric drive will control this unit, and the driver will have a “twist” on the front panel. This decision allows three to sit in front, having received nine seats in a minivan and six in the “combi” (cargo-passenger) modification.
Of course, the UAZ will be all-wheel drive. But other stereotypes are broken. The options with independent front suspension have been worked out (it will allow you to shift the power unit 100-150 mm down and 50 mm forward) and … behind (!). In the meantime, the cars are equipped with the usual Spicer type bridges.
For the new family, they developed a different front panel (since the interior width is larger, it does not fit from the Patriot) and imported seats. Like the Patriot, they plan to install a Korean Dymos gearbox and an imported power steering here.
Compared with the minivan shown two years ago, the body has radically changed: the front pillars are more inclined and otherwise deployed - the openings of the front doors have increased, visibility has improved. Landing is more vertical than in the Patriot. This gives a gain in capacity in length, and also makes it easier for people of small stature to drive.
Instead of two fuel tanks - one, 75 liters. Significantly lower than the all-terrain vehicle, the floor in the rear is important for commercial vehicles. Load capacity, depending on version - up to 850 kg.
An impressive base and almost perfect weight distribution increased the stability of the car when driving on the highway, and large wheel arches are designed to install tires suitable for serious off-road.
