The model was created in a fashionable style for modern compacts: a cross between a high station wagon and a small minivan. Sitting in a modest-sized car, one involuntarily marvels at the interior. This feeling is supported by a large area of glazing and the possibility of transformation of the cabin. You can do almost everything: move the rear sofa along the car, fold out or fold the split backrest, move the seat forward and get a large, almost cubic trunk. And also - to turn seats into one or two berths - few modern cars "are able" to do this.

The basic equipment of the Mazda Demio includes a standard set: power accessories (windows, mirrors, central locking), air conditioning, power steering, ABS, two airbags, four-speed automatic transmission, 1.3-liter engine with 83 hp. The European version, by the way, is noticeably poorer: a motor of the same volume produces only 63 or 75 hp, a mechanical or three-speed automatic transmission, and a hydraulic booster. Everything else is for a fee. There is also a modification with a 1.5-liter engine producing 100 hp. A car with this engine was offered in the homeland and in Europe.
