It was inhabited by both affordable Gedaer cars and celestials - aliens from the UK with a sprung suspension and soft tires. Over the years, an overgrown economy has seized the old bookcase: on this shelf are Mercedes, below are Citroens, and here there are Jaguars. At that time it was very “cool”, but inside something tormented: not that, not that! And when the eternally empty shelves of our stores suddenly began to bend under hundreds of different models, everything explained by itself: my “garage” never became a collection! It was then that the old "Bibika" suggested the right thematic solution …
Indeed, a collection is always something unexpected, amazing, rare. "Vinaigrette" from a hundred or two "Mercedes" or "Audi" of any scale - at least 1: 1 - today can be cooked by any moneybags who accidentally wandered into the store: what’s interesting here? Tell someone about the model of the Gorky Automobile Plant, and he contemptuously frowns his forehead - they say, what is there? Well - "Volga", well - "Gazelle". But when you call the number "300", the reaction changes: GAZ? 300 pieces?
The figure is solid, but another is more surprising. For his seventy-odd years, the Gorky Automobile Plant has managed to produce as many varieties of real cars as I have not collected so many copies! The auto industry, despised by the current generation, once plowed with might and main - and so that neither the "Victory" nor the "Volga" seemed downs even before birth.
