The Italian company guarantees high quality provided that raw materials are used from certified Pirelli suppliers and strict adherence to the technological process is the requirement of a license agreement. Under the same agreement, Pirelli will provide technical assistance in the modernization of the transferred technology, mixture formulation and tire design.

A separate workshop with modern imported equipment and world-class technologies was built for Kama-Euro. Air conditioners maintain constant temperature and humidity in the workshop, and filter the air supplied inside. The universal line "Comerio Ercole" rubberizes the cord, and the complex of precision flat assembly VRP2020 will assemble the tires so that their power heterogeneity will be minimal.
"Bake" tires formatter-vulcanizers "Herbert". The output control includes not only checking the geometry of the tires, but also X-ray analysis of the carcass, checking radial, axial and tangential forces. It also includes tests evaluating the tire's ability to withstand vertical and side impacts. The capacity of the new tire workshop is designed for two million units per year. With them, the annual production volume of the NKSHZ will grow to 18 million.
A new tire was created taking into account the condition of roads and the climate of Russia. Based on the well-proven Pirelli P2500 euro type M + S. The tread pattern is very close to the prototype, only non-directional. By the way, only non-directional tires can get on the VAZ main conveyor.

The novelty differs from previous Nizhnekamsk models, in particular, in the increased content of natural rubber and silicon-acid fillers. It has improved grades of carbon black, the anide cord is replaced by a more progressive polyester. All this allowed to improve the grip, handling, reduce rolling resistance and noise level. However, the price has risen. Kama-Euro is half the price of conventional Nizhnekamsk tires. First of all, they mastered the dimensions 175 / 70R13 and 185 / 60R14. The manufacture of tires 205 / 60R15 and 205 / 75R15 (the latter in two versions - for cars and all-terrain vehicles) will be established a little later.
Before the upcoming trip to Chevrolet Niva, shod in the new Kama Euro, I inspect the tires. It looks great: a perfectly “sealed” tread, smooth sidewalls, a small mass of balancing weights on the wheel rim.
The tread depth is slightly more than usual. On the one hand, this will increase the resource, on the other, it will lead to some lethargy when maneuvering at high speed (high pieces are easier to fold). The tread pattern is focused not only on asphalt - apparently, these tires do not save on the primer either.
