Criticism, as a rule, is constructive, and the proposals are quite specific: making an excellent car is as easy as shelling pears. For the budget option, take the supercharged Yaroslavl "eight", a frame from KamAZ, RABA bridges and a warmer cabin, with good sound insulation. An experienced user will prefer a set of components from leading world companies. It remains only to assemble the units and assemblies together - and the perfect car is ready!
Of course, to make a good truck, and even more so to launch it in a series, is not at all simple, even if you have accessories from recognized leaders at your disposal. However, a rational grain in such an approach is undoubtedly - why invent and do what others have specialized in for decades? Buying will be easier, better and, ultimately, cheaper.
The Yarovit company, a former MAZ dealer and part-time organizer of the CIS truck trial championship, came to realize the driver’s century-old dream in iron. To implement the project, ZAO “Investment Company“Yarovit Motors”was formed, the founders of which are:“Elgin System”(Elgin System), the USA - 51% of the shares and“Tracks & Dumpers”, Great Britain - 49%. They decided to place car production in Russia, in St. Petersburg.
Yarovit plans to occupy the empty niche of heavy-duty and off-road trucks designed for the most difficult conditions, where the equipment, even in the performance of Heavy Duty, does not live very long. Wheel formulas - from 6x4 to 10x8, carrying capacity - from 26 to 53 tons, maximum speed - 90-100 km / h. For such high performance to be combined with reliability, all components must be beyond suspicion. Domestic, unfortunately, are not suitable for these purposes, therefore, Yarovit’s vital units are from world leaders or, in any case, from masters of their craft. Five dump trucks from the pilot batch are already working in the quarries of Norilsk, Kingisepp, Central Asia and Kuzbass. The purpose of the tests is to identify design weaknesses, determine the economic efficiency of machines in comparison with competitors, and, of course, interest the buyer.
At the wheel of one of the cars, an 8x6 dump truck, I happened to make several rides from the quarry to the enrichment plant of the Kingisepp factory “Forsforit”. Feels like “Yarovit” is very similar to a 20-ton MAZ. The doubled carrying capacity did not adversely affect the driver. Moreover, the cabin is noticeably quieter and more comfortable - the seat is air-suspension, and the steering wheel is even lighter than the Mazovian. You feel a huge mass of cargo only at the moment of starting off. Forty tons behind the back are “packed” very tightly - the machine does not swing on potholes, does not roll in corners and easily holds 80 km / h on the grader. Probably, the declared hundred will also pass, but the dump truck loaded with a cap doesn’t have a race. The fact is that Gloros works together with BelAZs under a six-cube excavator, and it loads cars until it sprinkles over the sides. Everyone gets four buckets. Three leading bridges confidently carry the car out of the mash of the loading bay, and Gloros without any apparent effort gets out onto hard ground. At the same time, the exhaust from the engine is almost smokeless, which can not be said about the nearby BelAZ trucks. And if on the flat quarries they look at it through their fingers - the wind manages to dispel smoke, then ventilation of deep workings is a lot of trouble.
