If the Ford Sinus concept car (in the original SYNus) also reminds you of a safe, then the designers have achieved the desired result. According to their plan, such a car should cause the inhabitants of megacities, whose number is predicted to grow significantly by 2010, a sense of reliability and safety.
To get into the Sine, you need to dial the cipher with a round lever on the door, and in case of danger you can close all windows (including the windshield!) With bulletproof shields. Now the car is inaccessible to hooligans, vandals and other criminals. Alas, the creators of the concept have no hope that by 2010 they will diminish: making a safe on wheels is much easier than defeating social ailments.
The interior of the Sinus, unlike the exterior, is as friendly and soft as possible. The latter is in the literal sense. The interior is decorated with material called “silent memory” by designers: it will retain, for example, a trace of the palm for a while. The colors of the interior are warm, the lighting is soft, comfortable.
To make the atmosphere as “cluby" as possible (the expression of Ford designers), the backs of the front seats can be rotated relative to the pillows up to a 180-degree turn, and the steering wheel is completely hidden under the instrument panel. And ironic signs scattered around the cabin - for example, “push-push” near the gear lever, “legs” on the rugs. There are more ridiculous directions in the style of "bad advice." Since, according to the fathers of Sinus, people tend to do exactly what they can’t do, where it’s possible to open, it says: “Do not open!”, But in the seats, of course, “Do not sit down!” In what, in what, and in the imagination and sense of humor to American designers you will not refuse!
But the main pride of the creators of the concept is the huge 54-inch Sharp display (the company received an Emmy Award for it in the Technology and Technology nomination) mounted in the back safe door. Thanks to the video cameras, the driver uses the screen like ordinary glass: when looking in the mirror, he sees the situation from behind, and an expanded panorama. And in the "club" version, the display, of course, is suitable for watching television news, DVD movies or communicating with the Internet.
