Experts, however, are important for two main parameters that determine the quality of the product - wear resistance and durability of the lining with the pad base.
How was wear resistance determined? Two brake pads of each type were installed in the natural unit of the brake mechanism, the brake disc was accelerated, simulating the movement of the car, and then it was braked with the force specified by GOST.
The results are as follows: all pads have braking performance in accordance with the international requirements of UNECE Regulation No. 90. Fine - but there are still differences. The original Motorcraft product has distinctive anti-noise bevels at the edges of the friction lining. Consequently, the friction surface is smaller and the wear is greater: that is why Motorcraft is slightly inferior to the others in terms of wear resistance. In fairness, we clarify: this indicator remains within the normal range!
