Big motorcycle shows … Usually these are prim events, saturated with the spirit of corporate spirit, respectability and helpful willingness to put Parker in your hand to sign the check. World champions give speeches, sign autographs and immediately wash off at speeds comparable to the pace in their victorious races. Fashion girls “make love” with a two-wheeled exposure, collecting the views of vibrating teenagers. Motorcycles on stands are becoming more and more respectable: brakes with ABS, catalysts in exhaust systems and other high-tech achievements turn them from a threat to society into family sedans … And if you want another? Where to go to those who crave to see equipment that does not try to think for the pilot and smooth out his mistakes, but is ready to respond to the turn of the gas knob with an explosion of pure primitive dope? Or calmly talk with the champion "Tourist Trophy" …

There is such a holiday, there is such a place - a motor show at the GMEX exhibition center, Manchester!

The traditional stars of the show are the streets exhibited by Straightliners. Turbocharging and direct exhaust have become classic attributes of street fighters. But only this is already difficult to surprise. Deep engine tuning is another matter. While many are able to install a turbine and an exhaust system on a motorcycle in a garage, polishing the intake and exhaust channels, increasing the compression ratio, balancing the crankshaft and increasing the working volume are highly professional. Compared to turbo and mechanical boosts, engine tuning translates into the most expensive power gain (the addition is relatively small, and the cost of work and parts “bites”). But it's worth it! As a result of such an operation, a motorcycle is obtained whose power is easier to use in real life. It is for these purposes that Wiseco produces piston sets and larger cylinder blocks. Most often, these kits are installed on the Suzuki GSX-R1100 - the immortal "icon" of tuners and thugs of all time. By the way, the "jixer" in good condition, suitable for alteration into a "fighter", it is becoming increasingly difficult to get. Fortunately, knowing the popularity of its "liter-hundredths", Suzuki has rejected the path of Yamaha, which uses the R1 derated engine on the Fazer. Instead, an almost complete copy of the GSX-R1100 air-oil engine is installed in the Suzuki Bandit GSF1200, and the difficult work associated with increasing the working volume has already been done. It remains to change the pistons, polish the channels, install tuning camshafts and connecting rods - and you have about 180 perfectly circled donkeys in your pocket.
