Obviously, the Danes would not have been wasted on this project if it had not been for practical sense. Firstly, they have a real chance to get into the Guinness Book of Records again, because even in the basic version the CL 65 AMG can accelerate to hundreds in 4.2 seconds and develop more than 300 km / h, and the Danish version is clearly faster. And secondly, it only seems that there are no people who want to prepare 65 AMG under the Kleemann program. Of course, there will be few who want to, but for several months of work there is clearly enough. Moreover, tuning will be not only coupes, but also sedans with 6.5-liter engines.
The main thing in the program is chip tuning. Having broken the tradition, the engineers didn’t give out not a family of microcircuits with different characteristics, but the only chip tuned for maximum power.
It is reasonable that the matter is not limited to forcing. They finalize the transmission, put a cunning limited slip differential. The highlight of it is that it does not completely block, but only redistributes the torque between the rear wheels to the limit. The maximum possible ratio is 60 to 40.
Mercedes-Benz CL 65 AMG, which demonstrate the tuning program, is improved not only on the way. His appearance is slightly corrected. Connoisseurs will notice a non-standard body kit. The Danes claim that it is extremely functional and at the same time perfectly matches the factory design of the car. All in all, the perfect combination of form and content.
No less important in terms of style, the innovation is tuning wheels. Here Kleemann offers two options - TM5 prefabricated wheels (two-piece) or TS6 (three-piece). Possible sizes are 19 and 20 inches. The largest are TS6s with a diameter of 20 and a width of 10 inches on the rear axle of the car. Front by inch already. Tires - 285 / 30ZR20 at the rear and 245 / 35ZR20 at the front.
At the demonstration sports coupe, another noteworthy accessory is installed - an electronic ride height control module for manipulating the active suspension. In the lower position, he "removes" 35 mm of clearance. Naturally, this positively affects not only the type of car, but also its behavior during high-speed driving along a winding road.
