Here is the first such thing - the flywheel lock (photo 1, Fig. 1). What is needed for, knows any competent motorist. Shown is very convenient for owners of the "top ten." If you want to do it, cut a sector of five teeth from the old flywheel crown, weld a rectangular block with a handle to it and adjust the dimensions. Everything! Be convinced of utility more than once.
In fig. 2 is a sketch of a device with which it is much easier to restore or clean the threads on the hand brake rod from rust. Dismantling is not required. How to use it? To unscrew the soured adjusting and lock nuts, if they do not lend themselves, it makes no sense, it is better to cut them, cut them with a nut cutter, etc. But the thread itself on the thrust rod is usually in such a state that you won’t be sure to screw on the new nuts.
We clean the damaged thread with a M8 die, but a regular die holder will not help here. How to twist the die? Not with pliers! Having fixed it in the head of our device, immediately appreciate its merits. It is clear that this thing is primarily interested in those who earn maintenance and repair.
