Diesel versions of the 1-Series are currently under development - cars with 1.8d and 2.0d engines. The company's specialists believe that their power can be increased without loss by 25-30 hp to make driver more comfortable.
After or even before boosting the engine, tuners recommend tackling the exhaust system with a V2A silencer with a chromed tip. They promise a pleasant sound and a responsive reaction to the accelerator. In the field of transmissions, Schnitzer proposes to engage in the gear shifting mechanism - to put Short Shift, a “short selector”, to distort gears faster.
On wheels, there are several possible combinations. The basis is 17- and 18-inch wheels, or “racing” 19-inch with 235 / 35ZR19 Continental or Michelin tires. They decorate the car and, according to the tuners, have a positive effect on the dynamics. The most stylish wheels are, of course, the avant-garde Type IV with five spokes and a “pentagon” covering the hub. They can also be with chrome trim elements (optional).
Car behavior on the road is a matter of special concern. AC Schnitzer has prepared for the 1-Series sports suspension, which passes a series of tests on the roads and the Nurburgring North Loop. It is distinguished by three key properties - reduced by 30 mm in height, an aluminum beam in front and a special set of elements that increase the lateral rigidity of the structure.
