The "high" season for the sale of cars (and the associated price increase) ends there in May, and this year it lasted until the end of July - it broke all records. Only in early August, analysts sighed: phew, finally, "like everyone else!" Even with a delay …

Calm reigned in the market for the sale of VAZ cars during August: still - after such a stormy summer! At the same time, the demand for “frets”, although it has decreased, has remained stable. In addition, dealers could find the car the right configuration and color. In general, in July-August, the weighted average prices for the entire AvtoVAZ model line even decreased - by 1.3%. At the same time, Zhiguli fell most of all - by 3%: the average cost of the VAZ five - 120 thousand rubles, seven - 132 thousand. However, let's not forget that since the beginning of the year the whole "classic" has risen in price by 13, five%…

The Samara family turned out to be more resistant to seasonal price fluctuations - no more than 0.5% for 2 months. These cars now cost an average of 191.2 thousand rubles. (which, incidentally, is 8.2% higher than at the beginning of the year). The “Tenth” family, which sharply exploded in price in May-June, again fell below the mark of 230 thousand rubles in August: the average price in early September was 228.5 thousand rubles. This is almost 2% lower than two months ago, and at the same time 12.5% higher than in January. Prices for Niva have not been reduced yet (in Togliatti they are asking for an average of 203 thousand rubles), but they release it so little that it does not do the weather on the market. As well as getting from time to time to dealers "tricked out" "ninety-nine." They ask for them … from 225 thousand rubles, as for "one hundred and third"! (I wonder who is buying them all the same?) Station wagons are still priced: VAZ 2104 - from 153 thousand rubles, VAZ 2111 with an “eight valve” - from 235 thousand rubles.

In other segments of the domestic auto market, changes are also small. Unless the price of the “Fabula” Izh 2126 1 with an increase in production volumes decreased from 167 thousand to 155 thousand rubles. But the baby "Oka" of the Serpukhov assembly took and rose immediately by 3000 rubles. - Now it costs 82 thousand.

In the near future, analysts do not forecast serious fluctuations in this market: dealers have created a good supply, and demand surges are not expected. So the prices in the coming months, apparently, will not change.

Finally, the market of inexpensive foreign cars began to stabilize. Previously, only Nexia and Matiz were offered without a queue, but from the end of summer, dealers in the free market also had accents (with a manual, power steering and air conditioning - from 11.1 thousand dollars), Renault sedans Symbol "(from 8850 euros) and" KIA Spectra "(from 12 950 dollars). While the deficit remains only on the Ford Focus in the simplest configuration Ambiente (13.3 thousand dollars) - this will have to wait 6-7 months. But the line of relatively inexpensive Hyundai Getz and Mitsubishi Lancer was reduced to two months. So, it seems that a record growth in sales in the second half of the year should not be expected. Or is it worth it? We are unpredictable …

TO WHOM "BEUSHNY" "BRABUS"?

The market for used cars in Russia depends on seasonal fluctuations much less than the market for new ones. Other factors influence it, such as changes in customs duties or even rumors about it (they occur regularly). Since last year, the government seems to have forgotten about “used” foreign cars, and the market is slowly starting to come to life. In the capital and its environs, for example, there are now three large sites for the sale of used cars. The largest is the Avtogarant complex, where, as before, up to 5, 000 cars are put up for sale on weekends. And they don’t just put it up: over 500 transactions are made out daily here.

“Prices skyrocketed last year, when the government once again raised fees,” says complex manager Dmitry Chernikov. - The current in comparison with the spring of 2003 an average of 20% higher. The average age of cars has also changed - in the bulk they are from three to seven. There are few “oldies” in the market: as a rule, they have traveled well in Russia. They “leave” quickly - the prices are low.

New things were also noted in the geography of deliveries - a lot of cars from the USA and Canada appeared, which was recently a rarity. Previously, the right-handed ones were practically not found on the Moscow market. Now cars from Japan occupy a number. In the metropolitan area, the right wheel is still unpopular, and there are few buyers in this series. But most of them are there where Japanese cars manufactured for Europe and the USA are exhibited - Toyota, Nissan, and Mazda. Particularly well-sold 4-5-year-old golf cars for 10-12 thousand dollars.

Recently, three-year-old “Koreans” from America have appeared on the market. If we take into account that our attitude to these machines has changed dramatically in recent years, and their prices are quite affordable, then it is easy to understand why they do not stagnate in the market.
