“Such a biased attitude even benefited us,” says Viktor Tuluk, Technical Director of Rosava CJSC. - Buying imported tires for the same money - from Bobruisk to Malaysia - the Ukrainians, as they say, felt the difference. And finally they realized that “someone else's” does not mean “best” at all …

- What is the resource of your tires?

- Normal mileage of 70-80 thousand km. But this indicator, the so-called "mileage", is no longer decisive in the market. The modern consumer wants to have tires safe and for a comfortable ride, so that without shaking and unnecessary noise. Moreover, they increasingly attach importance to the fashionable tread pattern! And we take this into account.

- I’ve been riding the all-weather Rosav VS-20 for the third year and I am pleased with it. But for you this, apparently, is a passed stage?

- Yes, a replacement will come to it in the spring - the VS-48 model. Soon we will receive molds of two sizes: 175 / 70R13 and 165 / 70R13.

- What is the “forty-eighth” superior to the “twentieth”?

- Better grip, less noise. Lighter, sleeker. It allows speeds of up to 210 km / h instead of 190. But, in my opinion, all-season tires do not have a great future. This is a kind of compromise, which in summer is inferior to road (so-called "summer") tires, and in winter to winter.

- People put the “all season” for reasons of economy, so as not to buy two sets of rubber.

“But it’s about the same as if a person wore demi-season shoes all year round.” In the heat it is much better in sandals, and in winter - in warm boots or boots. (Laughs).

- It’s really bad when you have a boot on one leg and a sandal on the other …

- Do you mean those who, again from an economy, put winter tires only on drive wheels? This cannot be done, especially if the tires are studded! A skid is possible - because the braking properties of winter and summer tires are different.

- Which of the winter novelties can you offer our readers?

- In January, we will begin to supply two models of size 175 / 70R13. One of them, BC-46, is for studding. The other, BC-53, with a directional pattern (the so-called "noodles"), is good on snowy and wet roads.

- And for the summer, what's new?

- First of all, the VS-43. This model recently received a gold medal at the Moscow international exhibition “Tires, Rubber Goods, Rubbers” in the nomination “The Best Tire on Russian Roads”. VAZ tested it for the "classics", preparing for tests for the "tens" and "Kalina". In the near future will go into the series and the VS-49 (185 / 65R14 and 185 / 60R14). This is also a road tire, but it turned out that in winter, with wet snow, it has a high grip.

- It's time to ask about commercial vehicles. Often on the “Fords” and “Mercedes”, especially on fixed-route taxis, you can see the tires for the “Volga”. What do you think of it?

- The worst violation! They fit in size but not in load! Compare: a maximum of 5 people in the Volga, and how many in a minibus? When turning, the load increases and the tire can be ripped off the rim. It is very bad that the traffic police look at it through their fingers. Commercial vehicles should only drive light truck tires, which can be distinguished from cars at a glance: markings must end with the letter C (from English Commercial).
